Anonymous Letter

Shelley,

Are you aware of an anonymous letter that was sent to the association members, with the exception of those of us who contributed to the support of Lundgren. I am guessing that they eliminated us using the list of those who needed to be reimbursed. They are calling us "Shelley's Group". My neighbor received one, but I did not.

Hi!!! Yes, I'm aware that such a letter was sent. I responded on the Member to Member "Comments & Reports" Section. You can read it here: http://sites.google.com/site/hideawayvalley/reader/darkletteronawhitechristmas

The letter was riddled with misinformation and seemed to attribute an awful lot of power to one person of a 200 plus movement. I didn't know I such influence--I feel like Sarah Palin right now!

Seriously, if such a sad and misleading letter is an example of how "they" think things should be run here in Hideaway and how we need to reach out to each other, through anonymous accusations that are not factual---let's be very grateful that "anonymous" isn't making decisions for us right now.

I would also caution all of us not to jump to conclusions about who wrote it. Whomever wrote it sounded hurt and is blindly lashing out, not making sense, and not offering any peace pipes--that's for sure. Thanks for writing in--, but I'm not going to lose any sleep.

  2. How unfortunate that we can't seem to get along.

Hideaway is such a wonderful place to live. Imagine how much better it would be if everyone could come together as a community and work toward the same goals. I had envisioned a place where we could have neighborhood parties, play baseball, and just sit on the back porch and visit with friends. It is my sincere hope that we will get there some day and hopefully in the near future..

  3. Rita and Roy sent Shelly a threatening e-mail responding to her letter answering anonymous. Previous board members continue to attack my daughter Shelly. This is so yesterday's news. We now have (thanks in part to said Shelly), an open, truthful board that honors the governing documents and the association members. As we all hoped for. Let's not hear anymore from yesterdays angry, misguided boards. Amen

  4. Well, ironically, "yesterdays board" showed up at the quarterly board meeting and were pretty outspoken,--some pacing around the room, in and out of the building and one spouse had to be asked to leave by the deputy in attendance. One person demanded to know why the "anonymous" letter mailed a few weeks ago was not posted anywhere. They loudly proclaimed "censorship" becasue no one posted it.

The letter was sent to select members by person(s)unknown. It was full of bitterness, and inaccuracies. It was not sent to the Association nor to the Member to Member website. Just where did "they" want an anonymous, bitter, untruthful letter posted and by whom? By the board that did not receive it? By the Member to Member volunteer-run web site that did not receive it? Wake up and smell the common sense, would you?

Any one is allowed to make comments. You can use your real name and lot or an assumed name. Please be respectful of everyone, especially our trustees who donate a lot of work for us. Even if you believe they are not acting in our best interests or following our documents, stick to the facts--no name calling or innuendos and unfounded accusations. We want to set a good example for our trustees.
